Eight Independent Symbols, Sampled Once
At the start of a round the browser selects one complete hidden word of eight independent symbols, each uniformly A, B or C. All 6561 possible words have equal probability. Symbols reveal one at a time; later collection choices do not replace the word or redraw its symbols. At the end, the raw reward is the greatest proper prefix length that matches a suffix of the COMPLETE eight-symbol word. Proper means shorter than the whole word; overlap is allowed. If no nonempty border exists, the reward is zero.
A Border Can Overlap
The word AAAAAAAA has reward seven, because its first seven symbols match its last seven. ABABABAB has reward six: ABABAB is both its prefix and suffix. AAAAAAAB has reward zero, because any nonempty prefix starts with A while every suffix ends with B and no matching prefix/suffix is possible. An on-screen comparison of the symbols revealed so far illustrates a prefix border; it is not the current quote or a final reward for the still-hidden whole word.
The Quote Averages Every Possible Completion
The exact unconditional mean terminal reward is 4395 divided by 6561, approximately 0.66986739826246. At a revealed prefix, average the whole-word rewards over all equally likely completions still consistent with it. Divide that exact conditional mean by the unconditional mean and multiply by 0.97 to obtain the collection quote. The quote can rise, fall or become zero; zero ends the round immediately. Its maximum possible value is approximately 10.13633447098976. A currently visible border length is not an extra multiplier or a substitute for this conditional average.
Manual Collection and First-Crossing Auto Collection
Manual collection uses the current timestamp and actually revealed state. Optional thresholds 1.2, 1.5, two, three or five are selected before the round. Automatic collection settles the FULL actual quote at its first threshold crossing, before a later zero; it does not round credit down to the selected threshold. A final positive quote settles automatically. The formula already contains the 0.97 factor, so no second 3% deduction applies. Every permitted stopping policy has exact unrounded expected gross credit of 97% of captured stake, without guaranteeing a session result or a 97% winning frequency.
A Whole Captured Stake and Saved Free Coins
Choose ten, twenty, fifty or one hundred free virtual coins before starting. One whole captured stake is charged for the round. The wallet initially holds 1000 coins. Settled balance and fractional-credit carry persist in browser localStorage, so reload does not reset those values. While idle with fewer than ten coins, manual refill sets the balance to 1000 and retains carry; it does not add 1000. An unfinished round is not recovered or refunded on reload. Keep active play open until settlement. Ordinary cache deletion may leave localStorage intact.
